Callidus

Welcome back friends.

I’ve been teasing for a little while what comes next and tonight I’m ready to pull the curtain back and reveal what I’ve been cooking up. Just now, a moment ago, I finished the first draft of the sequel to Decisive Results.

It’s a new tale featuring Miss R, Mister H, Holly, Mistress Sark and some new characters caught up in their erotic schemes. It’s a longer, more ambitious project than the first entry. The scope is larger, the stakes are higher and the consequences will have long lasting effects for these characters.

And, so it’s called Decisive Consequences.

The summary goes a little something like this:

When one of her colleagues is caught in the web of a federal investigation, Miss R must risk everything in order to unravel the conspiracy and navigate the peril. Along the way, new minds will fall to the seductive hypnodomme and serve her will as she arranges her pieces on the board and prepares to play the game as only she can.

I’ve been sketching on the story for several years. Since before Tabico’s hiatus. She and I had already been working through initial ideas together when she departed. I set it aside for a while and worked on other things. I think, in the back of my mind, I was hoping she’d return and we’d pick it up again. Together.

But last year, I decided that I wanted to move this story to the front of my queue and began working on it again in earnest. Her DNA is still in there but it’s also evolved quite a bit from where it started.

In some ways it’s a more simple tale than what we’d originally discussed. The early treatments were ambitious but as I continued working with the material the bits that didn’t need to be there naturally fell away to reveal the essence of the story that we had conceived of.

The next phase of the project is to begin working on the visual assets and the workflow. Last time, I used brute force tactics in terms of animation and as I remarked to Madame Kistulot on one of our podcasts, I won’t be taking that path again. So, there’s some experimentation coming up to devise a way of managing the work and delivering the content with maximum efficiency. There’s just too much to do it any other way.

I’ll talk more about what that looks like in practice along the way. It will provide some good opportunities to keep you all updated and share some of the goodies as the project progresses.

For now, I’m going to leave the script for a little while and just work on visuals. Then I’ll come back and read through this first draft and figure out what needs refinement in the next pass. I feel very good about the overall story at this point. It just needs polishing and I want to step away long enough to read it with fresh eyes. Then, I’ll be in a good place to dial in the exact tone and feel of each scene to deliver maximum erotic effect.

In the interim, I may also break to work on some other things. I’ve got several one-off manip stories gestating. And I’ve also been quietly plotting on the next Lily and Samantha story.

That’s gone through a few revisions in the years since Compliance and Acquisition came out and I’m slowly figuring out exactly what I want to do with the follow up. In fact, many of the ideas I’ve developed go beyond a second story and spill into a third if not several more.

And for that reason, I really want to make sure this next Lily and Samantha outing sets things up properly so I can tell this second tale and the others that follow. I hope you all will be as eager to read those as I am to write them.

I know that I don’t update the blog here as often as I’d like to but I find it challenging to find something to talk about when I don’t have a new project to discuss. Fortunately, as of right now, I’ve got plenty to keep me busy and I’ll look forward to keeping you all updated on my progress.
