Okay, I baited you with that title. Its a cheap ruse, I can admit it. But I promise you that if you walk through the curtain the result will be much closer to a man-eating-chicken, rather than a man…eating chicken.

So, just to be clear, I have not fallen under the irresistible spell of an online hypno domme. Rather, I want you to meet someone who has been a powerful presence in many of my manips and has been, exclusively, a figment of my imagination…until now.

I don’t think many of us in the EMC community would argue that our fetish is, by and large, one confined to the realm of fantasy. Yes, hypnosis is real, yes hypnosis works for some people. But actual hypnosis and the fetish-flavor we tend to peddle in are rarely the same thing. No mystical hypno-orbs; no mind-controlling serpents; no flashlight-shaped devices that turn people into slaves. Many of the trapping of our fetish can only exist in the imagination.

Many, but not all.

Greetings friends. I haven’t had much time to post recently on account of not wanting to pull myself away from work on the new video manip that is in-progress at the moment. I don’t want to tease too much, too soon, so I’ll refrain from saying more; other than I’m very pleased with how it’s turning out.

For tonight though, I was just browsing through a large dump-folder of potential manip material and clearing out some unneeded pic sets when I came across a small series I’d forgotten I had. The lovely brunette in the above pic is Sophie Howard, who did a delicious photo series for Bizarre magazine a few years ago that focused on hypnosis as a sexual fetish. thrall has one of the images in the sidebar of her blog that you can check out if the idea of a topless Ms Howard wielding a pocket watch appeals to you at all (and if it doesn’t you must surely be lost on this site).

The reason I saved this image originally and that I’m studying it a little tonight, is the unique combination of Sophie’s pose, the glass window she’s pressed up against, and her reflection in said glass. When I saw this pic, I immediately landed on the idea of

After a couple months of pondering and a few weeks of actually planning, I’m sitting in the lobby of my hotel, watching the door that thrall is going to walk through in a few minutes. I’m nervous. Though my ‘real’ personality peaks through here and there, Callidus is a more reserved version of who I am. thrall has been friends with Callidus, online, for years but now we’re talking about *** and *** being friends, live and in-person; and that’s got me a little worried.

I’ve tried to prepare her for this in the emails we’ve been sending back and forth in the weeks leading up to today; letting more and more of the mask fall away so that she’s not taken aback by how… un-reserved I tend to be as me. But still, I’m worried that she and I won’t get along as well as she and Callidus do.

I look up and she’s walking across the lobby towards me with this big grin on her face and I start chuckling uncontrollably

I’m sitting here in the hotel room, waiting on my sweetie to drag herself out of bed (she’s not a morning person). In a little over an hour we’re going to meet thrall and spend the day with her. But first, I thought I might share some more comic-mind-control hotness, which I teased you with a little last time.

About ten years ago, in the Batman monthly comic, DC ran what is, to date, probably my favorite Batman story arc: Hush. Written by the famed Jeph Loeb and with artwork by the legendary Jim Lee, Hush was sold, at the time, as exactly what it would become: a blockbuster. Hush featured some of the best villains from Batman’s acclaimed rogues gallery as well as some of his greatest allies. It also has, for my money, the definitive Batman-Catwoman romance arc.

And speaking of Catwoman…

Last time, I told you I’d elaborate on my summer travel plans. What I didn’t tell you was why.

thrall and I have been friends for years now. If I remember correctly, she emailed me, at the suggestion of Tabico, sometime in 2005 to promote her just-opened blog and we’ve been crafting epic email chains ever since. Although we hadn’t spoken in a little while, earlier this year we re-connected and started talking summer movies, writing, Joseph Gorden Levitt (and whether he’d end up wearing a Batsuit), and plenty more; we really do have a lot in common.

Well poop its been something like four months hasn’t it? How have YOU been dear reader? I’m keeping well, busy with vanilla life and trying to do a little traveling this summer (more on that later). But I have been neglecting things here, which I aim to begin rectifying…nowish.

So a quick update on things. Firstly, I am currently in-progress on a couple of projects that I’m eager to share with you all. One is a squick-a-licious manip series that’s been quite a few years in the making and secondly… Well, secondly is a new video manip. Of all the things I’ve done, Orientation has far and away gotten the biggest response over the years and I still get regular mail from people saying they enjoy it and asking when I’m going to do another video.

To which I can now answer: soonish. Quite soonish.

I won’t say more now, but I’ll have a more formal tease soon and drop a few more details 🙂

For now though, I’d like to share some more erotic-mind-control-in-comics hotness that I’ve been enjoying recently. Last time, I told you about the excellent series The Sixth Gun, today I thought we’d visit more familiar territory for comic and non-comic geek alike: Batman.

My proclivities for snake-on-woman mind control are nothing new. I’ve explored that territory a couple times now, its a sub-genre of erotic mind control that I do enjoy, but good source material is hard to come by.

Probably because its so scarce, I snap up every opportunity to indulge this particular facet of my fetish. And so, with that in mind, I have a new Kaa-inspired animation to share this morning.

Given that I’m quite certain that famous scene in The Jungle Book, lit the fire on my appreciation for Kaa-hypno, its somewhat ironic that it took three snake-mc manips before I was able to find imagery that truly pays homage to it.

Better late than never, here’s Rocking.

Well, it has been a little while hasn’t it? Welcome back friends, forgive my absence but I have been (the good) sort of busy lately. However, I’m equalizing my workload and have a new animation to share with you today. In terms of source material, they rarely come better than this; it really is a fantastic find. This is a pic I’ve had stashed away for a few months but on a recent image-safari, I wandered across it again and decided I just had to do something with it, now-ish. Click here for the animation and read-on for my director’s commentary.

I knew exactly what I wanted to see from this pic the first time I saw it, so the manip process was really just working through the hurdles to reach that goal. The hurdles in this case were creating imagery that wasn’t in the picture to begin with. The original prop was a pair of grapes and, as small as you think two grapes may be, they were hiding a considerable amount of the sub-model’s face. So the first challenge was erasing them and then recreating that side of her face, with the proper perspective.

At some point while doing all this clone-stamping, I had the notion that I’d like to animate the jewel that would soon be filling the model’s vision. I’ve done this sort of thing before with a prop hand extending out-of-frame; but never with the hand of a second model in the picture. Although much easier in execution, this ended up being the same process as removing the grapes. I needed to isolate the domme-model’s hand and forearm, then create enough of her shoulder that I could rock her hand back and forth a bit without seeing any gaps behind it.

With all that complete I got started on the animation and fx work. Although I was quite happy with how everything was turning out, there was some floaty quality that wasn’t quite working for me. In the end, I realized that everything was just moving too slow. I sped up things 100% and found that everything gelled and I finally had my finished piece.

As for the writing, that went quickly (for once) and really I was just trying to convey that sense of heat and drama that I saw in the image the first time I laid eyes on it. As for how successful I was? Just Watch, and see for yourself.

So the other evening, I was doing some much-needed catch-up work on the sprawling collaboration project which I now designate as codename: LCM. Anyhoo, LCM had stalled in the last couple of months owing to some difficulties I was having with the photoshop work. I wanted to achieve a certain effect and needed to do it at a relatively small resolution. The long and short of it is that I hit a wall for a while, got discouraged, set it down, worked on a few other things, then refocused, and finally cracked the problem.

So, after finishing up some work there, I was getting ready to shut down for the evening when I noticed a thumbnail in my browser window that caught my eye. I’d been hunting for some specific source material earlier, so I guess I mentally deleted the image the first time I saw it. On second viewing however, it was just screaming at me to get to work on it.

So, I quickly snagged it, fired up my software once more and spent another hour exploiting this really terrific source pic. I just couldn’t have asked for anything better in terms of the model’s expression. The background is a bit plain, but I think that only helps make that large collar the focal point. The nondescript surrounding and anonymous slave fastening the collar to the model ended up being nice jumping off points for the story.

As for the effects work, its all variations on a theme. I’ve used similar techniques before but I was trying to do something new with the eyes where the light from the glowing jewel would reveal a new pupil color. Taking that a step further, I found that reducing the size of the irises created a nice effect and enhanced the already-tranced look of the model.

The story, though not long, took a bit of time to craft and goes on a bit longer than my captions typically do. I don’t mean in terms of word count, just that there’s a bit of a coda that I normally don’t include. I’ve found that my captions typically lead up to a dramatic moment then end with a hint of what’s to come. For whatever reason in this one, I felt the need to include a bit of falling action.

In any case, I hope you enjoy: Collared.
