Greetings true believers!

Although things have been quiet here on the site for a bit… behind the scenes its a -very- different story. I’ve been busy on many new fun & smutty things that I’ll be telling you about and sharing in the near future. Today, though, I’m delighted to bring you a fresh, new episode of The Black Room podcast!

Madam Kisutlot and I are very happy to be back and bringing you our favorite bits of fun from the erotic mind control community. This super-size episode clocks in at just under three hours long and features all manner of fun discussion regarding new EMC fiction on The Archive, Madam Kistulot’s recent experience at the Charmed! hypno convention, the demise of tumblr and the alternatives that have arisen in its wake and, of course, updates from MK and myself on all our recent and upcoming projects.

New Animation: Fun Room

Welcome back, dear reader!

After teasing it weeks ago, I’m (finally) pleased to bring you my latest animated manip: Fun Room! Please check it out and then read on for my director’s commentary!

The video work on this piece was a real joy to work on. Challenging in different ways than these things often are. Visually, I was really inspired by an old friend of mine: HypnoTits. He was already creating snazzy video manips on the Hypnopics Collective back when I first started dabbling in animation.

We connected over a mutual love of the other’s work and really hit off over a shared love of punk rock, brainwashing scenes from old tv shows, and…ahem…breasts. Anyhoo, we had even been working on a collaboration just before he disappeared from the scene all those years ago.

So, the idea of projecting video imagery on the wall behind the women in this video, that’s a big tip of the cap to HypnoTits. That technique was something he used to great effect time and time again.

At the time I wrote that teaser post, the video was done and I’d written about fifteen hundred words of the caption. I felt like I was just one polish-pass away from putting it to bed.

Silly me.

Upon reading a couple more times, I really cringed at almost the entire second half. It needed a major retool. Between being busy with work and just not having any ideas on how to change it, the whole project came to a stand still.

Last week, I decided to follow some of that obvious advice that writers often get: “Keep writing no matter what!” Turns out that works pretty well! I finally found a way through the material that I was happy with and finished up with the wordsmithing over the weekend.

In the end, I think the problem was that I’d started the project hoping to make something a bit simple and I found myself complicating it. So much so that it stopped being the project that I’d enjoyed so much initially. Simplifying the story and just sticking to the core ideas I’d started with ended up being the way through the block.

As Madam Kistulot sagely observed, “Beating your head against the all is sometimes the only way out of the room ” She should make a calendar or something. 😉

As for me, it’s on to the next!

Almost Back!

Hey all,

I know I haven’t posted much this summer. I’ve been just completely engulfed in freelance work and other projects. However, I have found some breathing room in the past couple weeks. So, I thought I’d say hello and give you all a little peek at something I’m finishing up.

I’ve had this snippet of video saved for a while that I just -knew- I could do something with. I happened onto the folder I’d saved it in a week or two ago and took another look and it finally clicked with me. I trimmed out the roughly 25 seconds of relevant video and put it in a new project folder titled “Bimbo Room.”

I’m essentially finished with the visual fx work at this point. I’ve also been scribbling some notes that will turn into a modest caption I plan to write. I have just a bit of editing and tweaking left to do on the visuals. Then, I’ll assemble my notes into the story and then…I’ll be sharing it with you all!

So, hopefully, something to look forward to.

Catching Up With Callidus – May 31 2018

Happy Thursday all!

Since I’ve been teasing you with this story I’ve been hammering on, I thought I’d shine a bit of light on things today. The manip is called Dripping and the summary goes a little something like this:

A waitress spots a kinky pair of women at the corner table. But is she prepared for what happens when they catch her watching?

The “caption” is now north of five thousand words. This week, I’ve managed to smooth out a rough patch in the narrative that was really bothering me. Taking the extra time to polish was really worthwhile in that I was able to solve this problem but, also, in that I stumbled onto some ideas that I think are going to pay off nicely.

I’ve begun writing the final scene and I can’t wait to finally share this one with you all!

In Podcasting news, last night Madam Kistulot and I had an epic conversation with none other than Lex Lucas of Entrancement! I’ve been hoping to have Lex on for a long time and it was a dream come true to finally sit down and chat with him. I could tell you about all the fun the three of us had but you’ll hear it for yourself soon enough!

It was pretty damn fun though. 😉

MK and I still need to record the episode’s “bookends” but we’ll knock that out soon enough. I think the show will be out early next week.

Greetings all!

Its been a productive week, I’m happy to report. I’ve been writing away most evenings and have turned my latest manip caption into a four-thousand word minature epic. And, I still have one more scene to write! The point is that its going well and I think it will be quite fun when I’m finished.

Which will hopefully be soon.

I’ve just hung up with Madam Kistulot from recording episode 17 of The Black Room. This episode highlights some fun mind control fiction, art, and photos. But, the real headline is that we are joined by the legendary artist CantFindaDecentAlias! CFADA joins us for a terrific conversation about his work, his influences, and where he’ll be taking his amazing mind control art next.

Editing has already begun and I’m confident that will be ready for release next week.

Finally, if you enjoyed my recent animation featuring the lovely tumblr hypno-fetishist, findingmywayforever, you’ll be pleased to hear that she and I will soon be collaborating again! Brooke has, once again, let me direct her from afar and provided me a fresh set of photos ripe for some mind control naughtiness.

Catching Up With Callidus – May 16th, 2018

Greetings all!

Today finds me busy, yet productive, with a little project I’ve had half-completed for a few weeks. Back when I first snagged the photo, I’d had one of my sudden bursts of inspiration. I had a fairly clear picture of the story before I ever got it into Photoshop. So, I took a pass at writing it the day after I finished the visual work.

The writing would’ve been a rapid proposition… if the first draft hadn’t sucked so horribly. I’m still not sure why. Maybe I just wasn’t in the correct head-space to write. In any case, I shelved it in disgust and didn’t take another swing at it until this past weekend.

I wrote the fun stuff. The hot stuff. Sometimes, even when the story just isn’t coming to me, I can write that stuff no sweat. I was happy with what I laid down that time. I thought it sat well alongside the excellent image I’d found.

But, I did miss the story I’d originally thought up. So, I sat on it rather than go ahead and publish. Late in the weekend, I had another go at it. This time, things clicked and in one sitting, I’d banged out 1,200 words (this is good by my standards).

I’m really happy with how its shaping up, but it still needs some more work. Its turned into more of a “short story” than anything else I’ve done before. Even my longer captions are still really just one scene usually. So, I’m writing away on that and I think it will be done quite soon.

In any case, I’m eager to share both the fun, animated part and the wordy, word part with all of you just as soon as I can.
