Greetings all!

Its been a productive week, I’m happy to report. I’ve been writing away most evenings and have turned my latest manip caption into a four-thousand word minature epic. And, I still have one more scene to write! The point is that its going well and I think it will be quite fun when I’m finished.

Which will hopefully be soon.

I’ve just hung up with Madam Kistulot from recording episode 17 of The Black Room. This episode highlights some fun mind control fiction, art, and photos. But, the real headline is that we are joined by the legendary artist CantFindaDecentAlias! CFADA joins us for a terrific conversation about his work, his influences, and where he’ll be taking his amazing mind control art next.

Editing has already begun and I’m confident that will be ready for release next week.

Finally, if you enjoyed my recent animation featuring the lovely tumblr hypno-fetishist, findingmywayforever, you’ll be pleased to hear that she and I will soon be collaborating again! Brooke has, once again, let me direct her from afar and provided me a fresh set of photos ripe for some mind control naughtiness.

Catching Up With Callidus – May 16th, 2018

Greetings all!

Today finds me busy, yet productive, with a little project I’ve had half-completed for a few weeks. Back when I first snagged the photo, I’d had one of my sudden bursts of inspiration. I had a fairly clear picture of the story before I ever got it into Photoshop. So, I took a pass at writing it the day after I finished the visual work.

The writing would’ve been a rapid proposition… if the first draft hadn’t sucked so horribly. I’m still not sure why. Maybe I just wasn’t in the correct head-space to write. In any case, I shelved it in disgust and didn’t take another swing at it until this past weekend.

I wrote the fun stuff. The hot stuff. Sometimes, even when the story just isn’t coming to me, I can write that stuff no sweat. I was happy with what I laid down that time. I thought it sat well alongside the excellent image I’d found.

But, I did miss the story I’d originally thought up. So, I sat on it rather than go ahead and publish. Late in the weekend, I had another go at it. This time, things clicked and in one sitting, I’d banged out 1,200 words (this is good by my standards).

I’m really happy with how its shaping up, but it still needs some more work. Its turned into more of a “short story” than anything else I’ve done before. Even my longer captions are still really just one scene usually. So, I’m writing away on that and I think it will be done quite soon.

In any case, I’m eager to share both the fun, animated part and the wordy, word part with all of you just as soon as I can.

Greetings all. Good to be back with you. Apologies for my extended absence but I’ve been quite under the weather the past six weeks or so. Fortunately, my medical issues have resolved themselves so I wanted to chat briefly about some fun things that are happening.

Earlier today I finished recording a new podcast episode with Madam Kistulot. Look for The Black Room #16 in the very near future. There is some terrific multi-part fiction going up on The Archive right now, much of it from newly published authors. So, we gleefully take our time to discuss our current favorites.

We also, kinda-sorta discuss the amazing news that Eye of Serpent has written some new material! You definitely don’t want to miss that!

Manip work did take a bit of hiatus on account of my medical problems but I’m, very happily, back at it now. One thing I have managed to finish is a fun little series featuring a tumblr friend, Brooke, aka @findingmywayforever.

While I haven’t done many requests in recent years, I was happy to oblige after she kindly offered to take some custom pictures for me to work with. Brooke shares my enthusiasm for the brainwashing flavor of erotic mind control. So, it was quite fun when she agreed to don a pair of headphones and snap some pics and video for me. I think she’s had as much fun seeing herself as a brainwashed slave as I did making her look that way.

New Manip Series: Green Thoughts

If you happened to stop by the site this week you may have already spotted a new manip in the gallery! I’ve been working on a couple of other projects that had to go to the back burner when I stumbled across an amazing gallery of a young red head strapped to a medical table by a dominant blonde attendant.

So, to work I went getting the images just so and trying different ideas within the story to see which combination and sequence of photos would yield the most fun. This series allowed me to do a bunch of different sorts of things in one piece. Many of  the techniques involved,  I haven’t utilized in years. So, it was quite fun to revisit things like moist skin, liquid and reflections, cables, and (my long time favorite) VR headsets.

Intresetingly, there’s much less Photoshop needed to create VR headsets these days. In years past, I would go to a folder I kept with more than a hundred product shots of googles of all sorts: ski goggles, welding goggles, tactical goggles, and the like. My typical workflow was to find a set that best-matched the angle of the photo manip and then build layers on top of it to create a set of brainwashing goggles.

Now that the “Age of VR” is a year old, suddenly I can replace my old goggle folder with one chock full of actual VR headsets! Its the little things like this that bring me real joy; and also breasts; and beautiful nekkid women staring deep into flickering screens while their eyes begin to droop. And photo sets like this one: the sort where the real fun is trying out all the different possibilities it offers to become naughty, delicious mind control smut.

Catching Up With Callidus – Mar 22, 2018

Greetings once again. I’m typing furiously so I don’t have change the title of this update to the twenty-third! So, here’s what’s going on: The Black Room episode 15 is here! Madam Kistulot and I had a great time, once again, and its a super-sized two-plus-hours episode as we discuss a terrific mind control manga, the legendary Eye of Serpent, and why photo attribution matters for derivative artists like yours truly. A very fun show to record, and we both hope you enjoy listening!

Oh, almost forgot. Right at the front of the show, Madam Kistulot shares the terrific news that she’s created a Discord server for the Garden of MC community! If you’re not aware, Discord is an app for communicating via text-and-voice-based chat rooms. It was created for the video game community but its so versatile, easy to use, and ubiquitous that all sorts of people are using it to keep in touch. Install Discord on your computer/mobile device (or just run it in a browser!), then stop by and say hello.

I’m wrapping up work on that series I teased last time. Ten images, brainwashing laboratory, nekkid ladies…its going to be pretty fun. Writing is complete and I’ve just got one more tiny bit of animation to finish up before its ready for posting. I’ll probably finish it up tonight and have it out Sunday evening. So look for that very soon!

Catching Up With Callidus – Mar 15, 2018

Happy Thursday everyone! Lots of stuff going on in my world recently. Vanilla life is getting busy again after a brief hiatus during the holidays but, I’ve managed to be productive despite. If you haven’t had a change to check out episode fourteen of The Black Room podcast, its a proper in-depth discussion from thrall and myself on the Natalie Portman film Annihilation. A great sci-fi flick, though sadly a little lacking on mind control when compared to the novel its based on.

If you were hoping for a more traditional episode (smut discussion galore) then you’ll want to be sure and check episode fifteen! This is another show with myself and Madam Kistulot where we’ll be discussing some more Eye of Serpent, a really terrific Hentai Manga that’s packed-to-bursting with mind control, and some other fun. I’m almost finished editing that so look for it next week!

This evening, I’ve also been doing some Photoshop work on a new ten-image series that I’m really excited about. I’ve got a couple images already finished and the basic story outlined. So…just a bit more work on the photos and a bit more typing…it should be done soon. Fans of brainwashing laboratories, VR goggles, and pretty redheads strapped to tables are gonna be happy!

And that’s all that’s happening with me. One of these days I’ve got to get back to finishing the projects I’ve already teased but I keep getting sidetracked by these new photo sets and this damn inspiration! Hopefully, you all will have some fun stuff to peruse either way!

Catching Up With Callidus – Jan 18, 2018

Hi all! Hope everyone had terrific holidays. I’ve been sick, out of town, busy, sick again, and now I’m furiously writing away on a new series that I hope to have ready next month.

I’ve had this idea rattling around that one day I’d work on an ongoing manip series. It required a couple of things though. Firstly, a story concept that would support ongoing developments or, at the least, a lengthy enough narrative to justify not all of it being told in one sitting. Secondly, I’d need enough photo material that I actually could create new manips to further the story.

That would mean lots of material featuring the same model or models and, hopefully, in enough different kinds of situations to follow the story wherever it went. Conversely, the story concept would need to be fluid enough to accommodate whatever pictures or animations I’d have available.

So, logistically, its always seemed like a fun but challenging idea.

In the past couple of weeks I’ve had some story ideas begin to solidify and I’ve been searching through countless photo galleries to see if there is enough material floating around that I could use to pull off my ideas.

Right now I’m leaning towards this being a more long-form kind of story that gets rolled in three or four parts. I have a pretty good idea of the beginning middle and end but there’s room to play if I want to throw in some additional things.

So stay tuned. I’m eager to share more with you once I’ve had a chance to polish things up a bit.
